I can remember being about 11 or 12 years old and in back of all the Seventeen, ComsoGirl, and YM magazines were these advertising pages. FREE CATALOGS! : it read. dELiA's, Alloy, and anything else I could get sent to me for free!
My magazines would come in the mail, and I would begin to look through them, sizing up every item, circling the items I wanted.. intended to order, even if it was only was one measly shirt and a pair of underwear. Enter: Imaginary world, where I show every circled item to my mom and she would smile, nod, pick up the phone, and proceed to order each and every choice, some items in multiple colors.
As I receive my Victoria's Secret magazine today, looking through and thinking "Ooohh. sexy.." and "Oh, I definitely want that.." I cannot help but be taken back to the old times..
I don't think I ever once made an order.. then and even now..
Got me thinking: Do you order via catalog??
